By: Suzanne Selfors

Ordinary farm kid Homer Pudding dreams of being like his uncle, a famous treasure-hunter, but spends his days cleaning up after his family's many goats. Then Uncle Drake dies--under rather suspicious circumstances--and Homer inherits Drake's basset hound, Dog. There's a strange coin attached to Dog's collar, and Homer is certain that the letters etched on the coin are important. Little does he know, however, just how wild things are about to get. If you like this story's humor, over-the-top bad guys, and eccentric characters, check out its sequel, Smells Like Treasure.
